About Our Company

Sunshine Garden Soapworks was started in January 2000 with the the idea to offer a wonderful, high quality handmade soap to our customers along with great customer service. We've since expanded to carry hand crafted glycerine soap, lotions, lip balms, bath salts and candles as well as both stock and custom gift baskets. In 2003 we started working with customers to create custom party favors for baby shower, bridal showers, weddings, birthdays and more.

About our products...
What is so special about handmade soaps? Handmade soaps contain the moisturizing glycerine that is extracted from commercial soap. This glycerine makes the soap silky, soft, and simply wonderful for your skin. The oils used in the soaps at Sunshine Garden Soapworks are carefully chosen and combined to bring out the best qualities in each bar. We use oils like olive, palm, coconut, palm kernel, castor, rice bran, shea butter, and cocoa butter to make each soap special.

We do not use any animal fats/oils in our soaps. Our soaps and products are mainly vegan with the exception of the goat's milk & silk fibers used in some soaps and the beeswax used in our lip balms. All of our products are tested on ourselves and our family members/friends. We do not do any animal testing.

All of our products are made by hand - for this reason, colors and patterns may vary from bar to bar.

Although we use high quality ingredients, some people are more sensitive to products than others. We suggest that you do a patch test before thoroughly using any product. Please discontinue use if you experience any irritation or discomfort. It is not recommended that scented soap be used on small children - please use one of the unscented bars we offer. This soap is meant for external, cleansing use only.

More Info on Handmade Soap:

Don't let the bar sit in a pool of water - use a soap dish. This will help your bar last a long time!
If you purchase multiple bars, you may wish to place them in a basket in your bathroom (or any other room) to act as a natural "air freshener", and as decoration!
Handmade soaps are "cured" for at least 4-5 weeks before they are sold. Curing lets them become harder. The harder the bar, the longer it will last.
It is best to store soaps in a dry place that is not very warm. This allows them to harden even more, which will make them last longer.

Return Policy:
We can allow a return/exchange on some products. We do not allow exchanges or returns on lotion & bath salts, though. Unopened lip balms & Soaps can be returned/exchanged. If you are returning, there is a 15% restocking fee. Shipping costs are non-refundable. All items must be returned in resellable condition as determined by Sunshine Garden Soapworks. If you have any questions regarding this policy, please ask before you place your order. We can not accept returns on custom orders or private labeled orders. Once a custom or private label order is placed it can be cancelled within 4 hours. After that period we normally have begun production and it can not be cancelled at that point.
